On April 7 local time, the CRSG(China Railway Seventh Group) Cup Chinese Proficiency Competition Final and China–Namibia Cultural Talent Show, jointly organized by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Namibia, the Confucius Institute at the University of Namibia, and China Railway Seventh Group under China Railway Group Limited (CREC), was successfully held at the University of Namibia, injecting fresh momentum into China–Namibia cultural exchanges. The event was attended by the Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Namibia, the President of the University of Namibia, and other distinguished guests, who delivered remarks.
At the Chinese Bridge final, Namibian instructors from the Confucius Institute at the University of Namibia competed on stage, demonstrating strong Chinese language proficiency and a deep appreciation for Chinese culture through segments such as Chinese speech contests and cultural quizzes.
Following the final, a vibrant China–Namibia cultural showcase performed by local teachers and students took place. Traditional Chinese cultural experiences—including traditional Chinese medicine consultations, paper-cutting, Hanfu displays, calligraphy, and tea art—alongside food tasting activities, allowed local participants to experience the richness of Chinese culture up close, creating an engaging and lively atmosphere.
This event represents a vivid practice of China Railway Group Limited’s “Youth Bridge Initiative” in Namibia and serves as an important measure by China Railway Seventh Group to advance cross-cultural integration. Through joint competitions, cultural exhibitions, and youth exchanges, it has further strengthened people-to-people connectivity between China and Namibia, supported the development of local youth, and added a meaningful chapter to the sustainable development of China Railway Seventh Group in the country.
