Water Supply Network Construction Project for Lucala City and Lucala-Ndalatando Route in Angola Starts

Lucala, Angola – Recently, the design and construction project of water supply network and household connection for rural areas along Lucala City and the Lucala-Ndalatando route in Angola, undertaken by the Municipal Engineering Branch of China TIESIJU Civil Engineering Group, officially started construction. Antonio da Costa, Secretary of Water Affairs of the Angolan Ministry of Energy and Water, and Elsa Ramos, Director General of the National Water Authority, attended the launching ceremony.

The project construction consists of two parts: first, laying about 41 kilometers of water supply network in urban Lucala and completing supporting household connection works for about 5,800 families; second, constructing a main water pipeline system with a total length of 26 kilometers covering 16 rural communities along the route from Lucala City to Ndalatando.

After completion, the project will effectively improve the drinking water conditions of local residents, enhance the coverage and stability of the regional water supply system, further meet the urgent demand of urban and rural residents for safe and convenient water use, and provide solid support for local economic and social development and people's livelihood improvement.
