Source: Date:2026年05月27日

On April 28, after repeated measurement and verification, the Guizhou Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge, participated in the construction by China Railway Baoji Bridge Group of China Railway Hi-Tech Industry under CREC, was officially included in the Guinness World Records as the "Highest Bridge".

As a key control project on the Liuzhi-Anlong Expressway in Guizhou Province, the bridge opened to traffic on September 28, 2025. According to industry research, the main span and height of this steel truss suspension bridge are unprecedented, known as "world No.1 in both vertical and horizontal dimensions". During the bridge construction, as a major participant, China Railway Baoji Bridge Group undertook the manufacturing of the main trusses, main transverse trusses, lower horizontal connections and deck panels, totaling 93 segments with a total weight of about 22,000 tons, almost equivalent to the total weight of three Eiffel Towers in Paris, France.

"The vertical height from the bridge deck to the water surface of Guizhou Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge is 626.01 meters," the official Guinness World Records adjudicator solemnly announced after checking the data three times repeatedly. "It surpasses the previous world record of 565.4 meters, and the challenge is successful!" According to reports to ensure accurate height data, the measurement team adopted a three-dimensional collaborative measurement plan with domestically developed high-precision equipment of "unmanned aerial vehicle + unmanned boat", forming a precise measurement network woven by space satellites, ground base stations and surface unmanned boats.
