Hot Sliding Test Completed on the Section from Depot to Torre Station of the Monterrey Light Rail Project in Mexico

On May 31 local time, the hot sliding test on the 11-kilometer section from the depot to Torre Station of the Monterrey Light Rail Project in Mexico, in which China TIESIJU Civil Engineering Group, a subsidiary of CREC, participated in the construction, was successfully completed.

The Monterrey Light Rail Project is a key public welfare infrastructure project in the State of Nuevo León, Mexico, and also serves as an important supporting transportation facility for the Monterrey host venue of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The hot sliding test is a critical procedure prior to the commencement of rail transit operations. Through the operation of an energized train under actual conditions, the test dynamically verifies the performance of the traction power supply system, conductor rail, ring network cables, signaling system, and substation equipment. It comprehensively validates the compatibility, operational stability, and reliability of electrical systems along the entire line, optimizes equipment operating parameters, and establishes a solid technical foundation for subsequent integrated testing, commissioning, and official service commencement.

Once this section is put into operation, it will effectively address gaps in the rail transit network of the Monterrey metropolitan area, improve the efficiency of public transportation within the region, and fully support passenger distribution demands during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. It will also play an important role in optimizing the regional transportation framework of Nuevo León, stimulating commercial, tourism, and cultural resources along the route, and enhancing urban connectivity.
