On April 13, the “China–Kyrgyzstan Friendship Forest” initiative, jointly launched by China Railway No.3 Engineering Group, Jalal-Abad State University, and the Forestry Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, was held at Jalal-Abad State University. Representatives from both countries planted saplings together, symbolizing friendship and hope, with each tree taking root on campus as a testament to the enduring and ever-growing friendship between China and Kyrgyzstan.
In his remarks, President Usenov Kainysbek Zhumabekovich of Jalal-Abad State University stated that the establishment of the “China–Kyrgyzstan Friendship Forest” not only enhances the campus ecological environment, but also carries the shared vision of young people from both countries advancing hand in hand and growing together, and will serve as an important symbol of cultural exchange between the two nations.
“The ‘China–Kyrgyzstan Friendship Forest’ is not only an ecological project, but also an important symbol of the deepening cooperation between our two countries. We hope to take this event as an opportunity to further expand practical cooperation in areas such as urban development and environmental protection, allowing the tree of friendship between China and Kyrgyzstan to take deep root in the hearts of our peoples,” said Abdypata Matkalikov, Mayor of Manas.
“While participating in local development, China Railway No.3 Engineering Group has consistently fulfilled its social responsibilities. Donating saplings and jointly building the ‘China–Kyrgyzstan Friendship Forest’ is both a concrete action to give back to the local community and an important initiative to promote people-to-people connectivity between the two countries,” said Han Haiwei, a representative of the company. He added that the company will continue to strengthen cooperation with Jalal-Abad State University, further integrate into local development, and contribute to advancing China–Kyrgyzstan friendship.
