6 沪苏通长江公铁大桥

The Shanghai-Suzhou-Nantong Yangtze River Bridge was designed by China Railway Major Bridge Reconnaissance & Design Institute Co., Ltd., and contracted by MBEC, and CRHIC participated in its construction. Extending 11,072 meters between Tongzhou District of Nantong City and Zhangjiagang, a county-level city of Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, the bridge accommodates four tracks of railway and six lanes of roadway traffic. The main navigable span features a steel truss girder cable-stayed bridge structure and measures 1,092 meters in length. The bridge is the world’s first cable-stayed road-rail bridge with a main span of over 1,000 meters. Its main tower is 330 meters tall, the highest among road-rail bridges around the world. The bridge adopts new-type 2,000MPa steel cables, the highest intensity in the world. The world’s largest 1,800-ton beam cranes independently developed by China were used to construct the bridge. As a road-rail bridge crossing the Yangtze River, the bridge facilitates integrated, coordinated development of the city clusters in the Yangtze River Delta.
