After 13 months of efforts by close to 1,000 constructors, Jingzhai Tunnel, the last on the China-Laos Railway, was completed on June 5. It also symbolizes the completion of all 167 tunnels along the railway. Jingzhai Tunnel was designed by China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group Co., Ltd. and built with the help from China Railway Tunnel Group. The completion laid a solid foundation for the opening of the entire railway by the end of 2021.
