La Sino-Congolaise Des Mines S.A. (SCM) under CREC Resources logged 43,500 tons of copper outputs in the first quarter of 2021, a record high. The phase-two project of the dressing system has been put into a trial run, representing a major progress in project construction.

SCM is the company implementing the package plan for China-Congo cooperation on resource financialization. The project under construction by SCM is one of the largest non-energy projects China has invested in Africa. Construction of the phase-two project is in full swing and is expected to be completed in 2021. When fully operational, with two production lines running simultaneously, the production capacity for copper will reach 250,000 tons.
